Being raised in a small, friendly, place was great to me. I could walk everywhere I needed to go. I was never afraid. I went to a private school with about 300 kids. We stayed in one room and had one teacher most of the time. Sometimes, for special classes, another teacher would come in and teach us. We didn't have physical education. We played games on wednesday. We didn't suit up or shower. We wore uniforms. That's how my schooling went from First through eighth grades. We lived in the same house with the same neighbors and friends until I was fourteen years old. It was great! One day Dad said he had been transferred to a big city. I thought it was a great idea. I was exicted about the move. In no time at all, we were moved, and settled, in a new house, new neighbors, and no friends. Our house was beautiful to me. It had wall to wall carpet and new furniture, it was great. I was going to go to a Junior high school that two thousand kids were also attending.
